I’m a massive activism, campaigning and social change geek. This blog is to explore my thoughts around how change happens. You’ll find my thinking, reflections on more practical ‘doing’, and celebrations of successful ‘changing’.
As Activism Coordinator at ActionAid I ran a popular #taxtour in Mayfair, exploring which corporates were dodging and how, the history of tax justice protest in the UK and what we can all do about it. I went on to manage the tax campaign in the UK for a year and a half before leaving to freelance and focus more on supporting European social movements and organising approaches. I’m currently working with 350.org to support and advise on activist trainings across Europe.
I sit on the boards at Global Justice Now. But obviously the thoughts in this blog are my own.
If you have ideas about the issues I discuss, please share them through comments or find me on twitter @tashahester. I love talking about this stuff.
